Beauty salons: Setout puts your whole team's bookings on your own website.
£39 a month including VAT. Your domain's included, you can cancel any time and you pay nothing until it's live.
Beauty clients browse before they book. They read the treatment menu, look at the photos, check the price and the length and choose the therapist. Then they book, often late in the evening. A salon whose website lets them do all of that without a phone call gets the booking.
Setout builds your salon that website, on a design made for beauty studios. Every treatment has its price, its length and a page of its own. Clients choose the treatment, the therapist and the time online, get a confirmation and an email reminder and can buy a gift card for someone else while they're there. It's £39 a month including VAT for the whole team, with no commission, and you see it before you pay a penny.
What every beauty salon's website needs
Whoever builds your website, these seven things fill a beauty salon's diary. Use them as a checklist for the site you have now.
A treatment menu with prices and lengths
Facials, brows and lashes, nails, waxing, massage: list every treatment with its price and how long it takes, grouped the way clients think about them.
On Setout: Each treatment has its own price, length and description, and can have its own page on your site, such as "lash lift Nottingham".
Patch tests for tints and lashes
Product makers tell you to patch test before lash and brow tints and some lash treatments, usually 24 to 48 hours ahead. Make it bookable and say so on the treatment page.
On Setout: Make the patch test its own short service, so clients book it in the same few taps.
Your licence, if your council needs one
Depending on your council, treatments such as massage, electrolysis, piercing or tattooing may need a licence or registration, and many London boroughs license "special treatments". If you hold one, show it.
On Setout: Your licence and memberships go in your about section and, on designs with a highlights strip, in a line of badges across the page.
Aftercare that clients can find again
What to do after a lash lift, a brow lamination or a spray tan. A short aftercare page saves you messages and gets found by people searching for the treatment.
On Setout: Write aftercare as a blog post or in each treatment's description, from your phone.
Booking by treatment and therapist
Clients want their favourite therapist, and they want to know the time is really free. Online booking should only offer times that fit the treatment.
On Setout: Clients choose a therapist or any therapist, and only see times that fit. Each therapist can log in to see their own bookings.
Gift cards, all year round
Birthdays, Christmas, Mother's Day, Valentine's: gift cards bring in money before the treatment happens and bring in new clients when they're spent.
On Setout: Sell gift cards from your own site, and clients spend them when they book.
A clear cancellation policy
Say how much notice you need and what happens if someone misses an appointment. Clients respect a rule they agreed to before booking.
On Setout: Clients get an email reminder and can cancel or move online up to your cut-off. Card deposits aren't available yet; payment is in person, by bank transfer, PayPal or a payment link.
