Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 September 2026
These terms cover your use of Setout — the websites we build and host, the admin panel you manage them from, and everything in between. They're written in plain English on purpose. By creating an account or subscribing, you're agreeing to them.
They're an agreement between you and Two Fat Cats Ltd, trading as Setout, registered in England and Wales (company no. 17332573), 40 Rushton Road, Kettering, NN14 6HQ.
Your account
- You need to be at least 18 and give us accurate details when you sign up.
- You're responsible for keeping your login details safe and for everything done under your account.
- One account is for one business. If you run several businesses, each needs its own site.
Building and publishing your site
- Building a draft site is free. Your site goes live on the public internet when you start a subscription.
- Your subdomain (e.g. yourbusiness.getsetout.uk) is provided as part of the service. Custom domains you connect remain yours.
- If you ask us to register a domain for you, its cost is included while you subscribe. If you leave, we'll transfer it to you on request.
- You can try any design while your site is a draft. Once it's live, switching to a design you don't already own is free once a year; further switches in the same year are a one-off fee shown before you pay. Designs you already own are always free to switch back to.
- We may update designs and features over time. We'll aim never to break your published site, and significant changes to how your site looks are always yours to apply.
Payments and renewals
- Prices include VAT.
- Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly or yearly depending on your plan — until cancelled.
- Payments are handled by our payment processor; we don't store your card details.
- If a payment fails, we'll email you and your site stays live during a grace period (currently 14 days) so you can fix it. After that, your site is paused until payment resumes.
- Prices may change; we'll give you reasonable notice before a change affects your renewal.
- 30-day money-back guarantee: if Setout isn't right for you, ask us within 30 days of your first subscription payment and we'll refund that payment in full, whether you chose monthly or yearly. We cancel the subscription at the same time, and your site then follows the cancelling steps below.
Cancelling
- You can cancel any time from your billing page. Your site stays live until the end of the period you've paid for, then for a 14-day grace period, then pauses.
- Pausing doesn't delete anything — your content and settings are kept, and resubscribing brings your site straight back.
- Deleting your account permanently removes your site and your business data. You can do it any time from your dashboard (Settings → Account), or ask us and we'll delete it for you. Our privacy policy explains what's handled separately.
Your content
- Everything you add to your site — text, photos, prices, customer data — is yours. You give us permission to host and display it, which is what makes your website work.
- You're responsible for having the rights to what you upload, and for what your site says (including keeping prices and claims accurate).
- Customer data gathered through your site (enquiries, bookings, orders, subscribers) belongs to your business. Handle it in line with data-protection law — our privacy policy explains our side.
Acceptable use
Don't use Setout for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful — including sites that infringe others' rights, distribute malware, or send spam. We can suspend or remove sites that break these rules, with notice where reasonably possible.
Service and liability
- We work hard to keep your site online, backed up and secure, but no host can promise 100% uptime. Planned maintenance will be kept short and rare.
- Setout is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before a claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes we'll email you before they take effect. Continuing to use Setout after that means you accept the updated terms.
