Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

This policy explains what information Setout collects when you enquire about or use our service, why we collect it, and how it's handled. It's written in plain English on purpose — if anything is unclear, get in touch and we'll explain it properly.

Setout is a trading name of Two Fat Cats Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company no. 17332573), 40 Rushton Road, Kettering, NN14 6HQ. Two Fat Cats Ltd is responsible for the information described here.

What we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Enquiry details — name, business name, email, phone number and message, when you fill in our contact form.
  • Account & business details — if you become a client, the content you add to your site (text, photos, opening hours, prices) and contact details for your customers who get in touch through your site.
  • Billing information — handled by our payment processor; we don't store your card details ourselves.
  • Usage data — basic analytics like page views, so we can see how sites are performing.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and build, host and maintain your website.
  • To forward enquiries submitted through your website straight to you by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
  • To send service-related messages (e.g. billing, support, important updates).
  • To improve Setout — we look at aggregate, anonymised trends, not individual visitors.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Setout — for sending emails and messages, processing payments, and hosting data and images. They only receive what they need to provide that service and are not permitted to use it for anything else. We do not sell your data, ever.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to follow up, then deleted if nothing comes of it. If you become a client, your data is kept for as long as you have an account with us. If you cancel, your site is paused, not deleted, so you can come back to it. If you'd like it deleted, you can delete your account from your dashboard (Settings → Account), which removes your site and your business data, or ask us and we'll delete it for you.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Get in touch via the contact form on our homepage and we'll sort it promptly.

Deleting your data

If you're a client, you can permanently delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account in your dashboard, or ask us and we'll delete it for you. This removes your site and your business data, including your messages and bookings. It doesn't close a payment account you've connected, such as Stripe, and our log of the emails we've sent and our backups are handled separately. Anyone else can ask us to delete their data through the contact form on our homepage; we'll do it within 30 days and confirm when it's done.

Cookies

We use only the minimum cookies needed to keep you logged in and to remember basic site preferences. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
